The Learning Support Worker supports learners with learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour in Crewkerne as part of able2achieve's Somerset and Devon services. The role helps learners feel safe, make informed choices, access opportunities and develop meaningful, rewarding lifestyles.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and updating care plans and risk assessments
  • Following safeguarding procedures
  • Reporting concerns
  • Supporting person-centred learning
  • Helping learners access the community
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with families and professionals
  • Contributing to support plans and tutorials
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues

The successful candidate will demonstrate able2achieve's values, effective communication, teamwork, confidentiality, flexible working, willingness to complete mandatory training, understanding of care service delivery, appreciation of CQC requirements, and the ability to travel regionally as required.
