At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Residential Childcare Assessor to join their expanding team based across the Staffordshire and Midlands areas. This is a full-time permanent position where you will support and assess learners working towards Residential Childcare qualifications at Levels 3 and 5, with a strong focus on Level 3 apprenticeships. You will play an important role in guiding learners through their qualification journey while supporting achievement, progress, and quality standards.
What you will be doing:
- Managing and supporting a caseload of learners
- Assessing learners working towards Residential Childcare qualifications at Levels 3 and 5
- Supporting apprentices to achieve within their expected completion times
- Monitoring learner progress and providing regular feedback and guidance
- Updating electronic learner records following each visit and review
- Conducting online review and update meetings with learners and employers
- Delivering training sessions within centres across Staffordshire and the Midlands when required
- Maintaining accurate documentation in line with quality and compliance standards
What we are looking for:
- Experience working within residential childcare settings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners throughout their qualification journey
- Good IT skills and confidence using electronic systems
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Assessor qualification desirable, although training and qualification support can be provided
Desirable:
- Experience assessing apprenticeship qualifications
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and funding requirements
- Experience working within education, training, or vocational learning environments
Salary and benefits:
- Salary £30,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5pm and Friday 8.45am to 4pm
- 45-minute lunch break each day
- Mileage allowance for all business miles
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Additional Birthday leave after 1 year service
- Additional annual leave accrued yearly up to 30 days
