Overview

Tutor / Assessor Electrical Installation

Location: Northampton (Free Parking)

This is a full-time, permanent position delivering high-quality electrical education and support to apprentices. You will play a vital role in helping learners develop practical skills, confidence, and employability.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging electrical installation training to apprentices for level 3 electrical installation (5357) for 18th edition wiring, advanced craft certificate
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Assess progress and adapt teaching methods to ensure effective learning outcomes
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress and attendance
  • Carry out on-site visits to review and assess apprentices in the workplace
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support learners with special educational needs

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in teaching or tutoring or assessing, especially with apprentices
  • You must be either assessor or teacher qualified
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping learners succeed

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary £34,000 to £41,000 per annum
  • 37 hours per week - Start at 8.30am and finish at 5pm
  • Company pension
