This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruitment or business development professional to lead a dedicated Search and Select team, supporting learners into apprenticeships while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Able Personnel , we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate

Search and Select Recruitment Team Leader to join their expanding team based in

Walsall .

You will play a key role in leading and developing a team responsible for interviewing applicants, matching candidates to apprenticeship vacancies and supporting employers throughout the recruitment process.

You will also help improve systems and processes while ensuring excellent customer service and high quality learner support.

  • What you will be doing
  • Lead, support and develop a team of Search and Select Advisors to achieve monthly enrolment targets
  • Ensure apprenticeship vacancies are converted to learner starts within agreed timescales
  • Carry out telephone interviews with applicants and match suitable candidates to apprenticeship opportunities
  • Promote applicants to employers and arrange introductions through telephone calls and Microsoft Teams meetings
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employers and internal departments
  • Work closely with Business Development, Business Support, Operations and Adult Skills teams to maximise learner referrals
  • Update learner records accurately using the learner management system and maintain high-quality data
  • Support the continued development of the PICS learner management system and digital transformation projects
  • Produce accurate management reports and ensure compliance with GDPR requirements
  • Monitor team performance and implement effective performance management and development plans
  • Deliver training and coaching to develop a flexible and multi skilled team
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained across all recruitment activities
  • Support careers events and travel to other offices when required
  • What we are looking for
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a recruitment, customer service, or business development team
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Experience interviewing candidates and matching individuals to suitable opportunities
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working with databases or learner management systems
  • A proactive approach to improving systems and processes
  • Ability to motivate, coach and develop others
  • Right to live and work in the UK without restriction

Desirable

  • Team Leader qualification
  • Experience working with funded training programmes or apprenticeships
  • Knowledge of PICS or another learner management system
  • Understanding of ESFA funded contracts

Salary and benefits
