At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Hairdressing Trainer/Tutor/Assessor to join their expanding team. This is a face-to-face delivery role based in Coventry and surrounding areas with travel required to employer premises and training facilities. You will play a key role in delivering, coaching, and assessing Hairdressing apprenticeship programmes at levels 2 and 3, supporting learners through structured training and workplace assessment to achieve successful outcomes.
What you will be doing:
- Deliver Hairdressing apprenticeship training at levels 2 and 3 – classroom delivery and in the workplace with learners
- Plan and design curriculum content in line with apprenticeship standards and employer needs
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and high-quality learning resources
- Complete inductions with apprentices and employers in the workplace
- Create individual training plans based on initial assessments and learner needs
- Deliver engaging training sessions using a range of teaching and digital tools
- Embed Math’s, English and professional behaviours into learning delivery
- Support, coach and motivate apprentices to complete work within agreed timescales
- Conduct workplace assessments using appropriate methods and technology
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to apprentices and employers
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Carry out regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers
- Prepare apprentices for end point assessment and support readiness
- Liaise closely with employers to ensure effective workplace learning
- Evaluate training effectiveness and support continuous improvement
What we are looking for:
- Level 3 Hairdressing qualification essential
- Minimum two years industry experience in hairdressing
- Experience delivering training, teaching or assessing learners
- Strong communication, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners in a face-to-face setting
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete DBS check
Desirable:
- Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA or equivalent or Teaching qualification such as PTLLS, AET or equivalent
- Experience in teaching or assessing hairdressing
Salary and benefits:
- Salary £27,500 to £29,500 per annum
- Full time 37 hours per week
