We are seeking a Construction Tutor/Construction Lecturer. This is a great opportunity to work in a multi award winning Construction Centre, known for excellent in the construction training and education.
Role Description
- Classroom delivery teaching for all age candidates who are completing apprenticeships for HNC modules for undergraduate degree level
- These range from Site Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors, Construction workers in the classroom
- Delivering engaging lectures
- Developing course material
- The role is working in the Centre delivering courses from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
- Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
- The role is working hybrid, as can work at home when no teaching in the classroom to write material, paperwork and can be at home for 2-3 weeks and then 1-2 weeks in the classroom
- Conducting Toolbox talks and workshops
- Writing course material in line with the awarding body Pearson
- Mentoring and supporting students
- Understanding the curriculum
- Completing paperwork
- Attending team meetings
Role requirements
- Must have experience in writing the curriculum or courses for the HNC construction level 4 or construction level 4
- Understand Pearson awarding body requirements or similar
- Understanding of the industry standards and practice
- Ideally a teaching qualification or assessor award (however will put you through this) as long as the above experience
- Ideally worked in construction industry in the past
