Ever felt that your experience in residential childcare could do more than support young people directly and instead help shape the next generation of care professionals? At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Residential Childcare Tutor/Assessor to join their expanding team based across England. This is a home-based role with a blend of remote delivery and face to face learner visits. You will play a key role in delivering, coaching, and assessing Children, Young People and Families apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners working within residential childcare settings to achieve successful outcomes.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver Level 4 and Level 5 Children, Young People and Families apprenticeship standards
  • Support the delivery of additional skills programmes including Level 3 Residential Childcare qualifications
  • Deliver a combination of remote and face to face teaching, coaching, and assessment sessions
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of learners, ensuring timely progress and achievement
  • Complete learner inductions and develop individual learning plans
  • Deliver engaging teaching and learning sessions tailored to learner and employer needs
  • Embed Math’s, English
  • Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support learner achievement
  • Maintain accurate learner records using electronic portfolio systems
  • Monitor off the job training requirements and ensure compliance with funding regulations
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment and successful qualification achievement
  • Identify progression opportunities and support learner development

What we are looking for:

  • Level 4 Residential Childcare qualification or Level 5 or above sector related professional qualification
  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 or equivalent or Assessor qualification such as D32, D33, A1, CAVA, TAQA or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ experience working as a Deputy Manager or Manager within a residential childcare setting in the past
  • Willingness to travel as required

Salary and benefits:

  • Salary £32,116 to £37,800 per annum
  • Home based role with flexibility
