We are recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer to join a growing global engineering organisation, delivering complex automation and control system projects for some of the worlds leading industrial clients. Working across the full project lifecycle, you will be involved in everything from PLC software development and system design through to testing, commissioning and customer handover. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering team delivering varied and technically challenging automation projects.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Developing and modifying PLC control software
  • Designing and configuring HMI and SCADA systems
  • Producing technical documentation and control specifications
  • Supporting software testing, system integration, FAT and SAT activities
  • Carrying out commissioning and fault-finding activities on customer sites
  • Working closely with electrical, instrumentation and project teams
  • Liaising with customers throughout project delivery and handover
  • Supporting continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience as a Controls Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Automation Engineer or PLC Engineer
  • Strong PLC programming experience
  • Previous commissioning experience
  • Understanding of industrial automation and control systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • Siemens or Rockwell PLC platforms
  • HMI and SCADA development
  • Industrial communication protocols and networks
  • Experience working within industrial or process environments
