There comes a point where technical ability is no longer the question. Direction is. This is a move toward a commercial career, not away from engineering. This role is aimed at engineers who have already worked with customers and want to move closer to how business is developed, not just delivered.

You will join a commercially active team operating across industrial water and process systems, with a clear path into a fully commercial role over time. From early on, you will be involved in customer discussions, account development, and live opportunities, working alongside an experienced senior sales manager.

How this role builds your career:

  • Exposure to customers across industrial and water treatment environments
  • Involvement in developing relationships within an installed base
  • Insight into how technical discussions translate into commercial outcomes
  • Progression toward an independent, revenue responsible role

What needs to be in place:

  • Customer facing or commercial experience within engineering
  • Ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Interest in how opportunities are developed and won

Where this experience is built:

  • 4 to 8 years within industrial water treatment, process chemistry, or similar
  • Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering, or related
  • Experience within water treatment environments, gained through equipment providers, service organisations, engineering projects, utilities, or similar process industries

Package:

  • £40000 to £55000 base salary
