EC&I Engineer – Electrical Controls & Instrumentation £45,000 – £55,000 + Benefits West Midlands | Hybrid The Opportunity If you are an EC&I Engineer who enjoys owning design work and seeing projects through, this role gives you exactly that.

We are partnering with a global engineering business delivering high specification solutions across water and industrial sectors.

They are growing and need an engineer who can take responsibility for electrical and control system design on high-value, technically interesting projects.

You will be trusted to deliver, make decisions and have a direct impact on how systems are designed and delivered.

Your Role

  • Own EC&I design across electrical and control system projects
  • Produce schematics, cable schedules, layouts and technical documentation
  • Specify MCCs, control panels and instrumentation
  • Work directly with project teams, suppliers and third parties
  • Support FAT and provide input during commissioning
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards Your Skills
  • Experience in EC&I engineering with a strong design focus
  • Background in MCCs, control panels and instrumentation
  • Confident producing electrical drawings and documentation
  • Awareness of PLC systems such as Allen Bradley and HMI
  • Understanding of IEC standards and electrical regulations
  • HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Extras
  • Water or utilities experience
  • HV electrical knowledge
  • Auto CAD Electrical or similar
