Contract Process Engineer in Birmingham

Contract Process Engineer – Water Treatment | West Midlands (Hybrid) From £40p hr (Outside IR35) Immediate start contract role with a global engineering business delivering multi-million-pound water treatment projects across energy and industrial sectors. This role spans the full project lifecycle — from process design through to commissioning and optimisation of pure water systems (RO, Ion Exchange, EDI). Key responsibilities: * Process design (calculations, mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs) * Equipment sizing using supplier software and in-house spreadsheets * Producing technical documentation and functional specs * Commissioning support, troubleshooting and optimisation * Working within multidisciplinary project teams Requirements: * Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering * Experience in water / wastewater / pure water projects * Strong use of Excel and engineering design tools (AutoCAD desirable) West Midlands (Hybrid working) Contract (3–6 months) Interested?
