Stairlift/Hoist Technician

Able Care is a trusted, local accessibility specialist and authorised distributor for Stannah Stairlifts. We help people live safely and independently at home.

Due to growth, we’re hiring a Stairlift/Hoist Technician for our Inverness branch.

What you’ll do

• Install, service and repair stairlifts (multiple makes) and ceiling track hoists
• Learn our full product range and assist senior engineers and teammates
• Take part in the out-of-hours call rota (typically 1 week in 5 – allowance paid)
• Pitch in with reasonable additional tasks to keep customers moving safely

What you’ll bring

• Engineering experience (mechanical/electrical trade background welcome)
• Knowledge of stairlifts/hoists is desirable, not essential – full training provided
• Friendly, professional manner with excellent communication skills
• Customer-focused, disability-aware, punctual, and smart appearance
• Full UK driving licence (essential)

Hours: 39 per week (08:00–16:30 Mon–Thu, 08:00–15:30 Fri, 30-min lunch)

Location: Covering Highland, Moray & Aberdeenshire
