Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be exclusively working with a growing business who have cornered the market in their specific field. We are seeking a head of finance/finance director who will lead the organization through their next exciting phase.
The Company Benefits on offer are generous, however this opportunity in itself will be a massive benefit to the successful candidate. This is a newly created opportunity which will have a seat within the board of directors. Your main reporting line will be to the board and specifically to the CEO and the Operations Director (although you will be autonomous on a day-to-day basis).
The Responsibilities
- Review the current company finances and design & implement the financial strategy.
- Review the asset register and assess fixed asset vs. stock for financial, insurance and other specific requirements.
- Implement strong financial controls and processes (the company currently has basic financial controls and processes).
- Implement company-wide finance policies.
- Ensure day‐to‐day cost controls, budgets and general ledger tasks are completed.
- Manage cost, cash‐flow forecasting and financial modelling.
- Provide bookkeeping duties initially as needed, with potential for a second hire later.
The Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (preferably CA).
- Experience in a finance function.
- Proactive and ambitious mindset with ability to deliver scheduled reports.
- Autonomy to run the finances while meeting reporting expectations.
Location: West Lothian (must be based in and around the immediate area). Our client does not hold a license to offer study support, so only applicants who can work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity will be considered.
