This vacancy, the result of growth, will report into the payroll manager and will be office based for at least 3 days per week. The team is collaborative and supportive with the hiring manager being focused on developing the team around her.
The Responsibilities:
The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of clients and process their payroll requirements within agreed timeframes. You will be customer facing and working on a wide range of client portfolios to ensure UK statutory compliance is maintained as well as ensuring first in class customer service is delivered.
On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following:
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll end-to-end production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations within payroll deadlines and requirements
- Service multiple clients as part of a team effort to deliver excellent service to our clients
- Manage payroll deadlines and requirements of your own personal portfolio of payroll clients
- Ensure you have up to date knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations by attending in-house training courses
- Manage import/export of new employee and timesheet data onto the payroll platform, including:
- Starters
- Leavers
- Absences and work plans
- Variations and adjustments
- Salary changes
- Changes to benefits and allowances and different contract types
- Child Care Voucher schemes
- Pension deductions
- Process statutory payments
- Generate payroll reports, P45s etc., using our in-house systems and Microsoft Excel
- Distribute payslips to multiple platforms
- Submit reports to HMRC via RTI
- Manage client billing
- Ensure procedures and key control documents are kept up to date for auditing purposes
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
The Requirements:
We are looking for a payroll professional who has a minimum of 2 years of experience working within an accountancy practice/providing bureaux payroll services. We are looking for candidates who are locally based or who are able to travel to our client who is based near Denny on a daily basis. We are also looking for candidates who have exceptional attention to detail and who are strong communicators in both written and verbal form.
Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
