Bookkeeper/Accountant

The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a family run construction company in the heart of Glasgow in the recruitment of an Bookkeeper/Accountant on a permanent basis. This vacancy, the result of forecasted growth will report into one of the managing directors of the business and will be office based 5 days per week (the company offer free parking). The Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to support our client`s day to day accounting activities and ensure that there is a clear line of sight for the board in terms of cash flow. The role will be stand-alone and will be the main point of contact for all financial questions. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following; Ensure that all incoming invoices are input into the companies finance system (Quickbooks) Process outgoing invoices and ensure that outstanding balances are monitored. Working with tools such as Excel, build cashflow models/spreadsheets to aid financial visibility. Maintain accurate records and oversee clerical duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence. Implement office policies and procedures to improve workflow and productivity. Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Utilise QuickBooks for financial management and bookkeeping tasks.
