This vacancy, the result of a long-standing employee making the lifestyle choice to retire and will work within a small finance team ultimately reporting into the management accountant/finance manager.
The Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to support the finance team in the smooth running of an accounting function.
The organisation that we are partnering with has multiple entities which have their own finance function whereas this finance team is stand-alone.
On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following; Opening incoming mail and distributing to team as required.
Processing of sales invoices.
Processing of supplier invoices.
Creating weekly payment runs.
Reconciliation of supplier statements.
Setup sales & purchase ledger accounts on ERP system.
Reviewing and amending haulage rates and raising of haulage self bill invoices.
Processing of supplier invoices and preparing sales recharge invoices to other group companies.
Ensuring that self-bill agreements are up to date for relevant suppliers.
Provide holiday cover for other members of the team, primarily on other sales and purchase ledger requirements.
Answering queries from Farm Business Managers, customers and suppliers.
Other admin duties as required, for example filing and posting of mail.
The Requirements We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced accounts assistant/accounts administrator (minimum of 5 years UK experience), who has a can do, will do attitude.
The role will be busy, fast paced and will involve a high degree of teamwork.
In addition, you will be working closely with suppliers and external stakeholders so excellent communication skills are essential.
The IT system that our client uses is fairly simple to use however we would like to see evidence that you are a highly systems literate candidate.
