The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be exclusively working with a growing business who have cornered the market in their specific field. We are seeking a head of finance/finance director who will lead the organisation through their next and exciting phase of their journey. Benefits on offer are generous, however this opportunity in itself will be a massive benefit to the successful candidate. This is a newly created opportunity which will have a seat within the board of directors. Your main reporting line will be to the board and specifically to the CEO and the Operations Director (although you will be autonomous on a day-to-day basis).
The Responsibilities
- The purpose of this role is to spearhead the company's finance department and be the senior representative of the company when it comes to all matters relating to the company's finances.
- You will be responsible for reviewing the current company's finances and designing and implementing the financial strategy of the business.
- You will be reviewing the asset register and reviewing fixed asset versus stock for financial, insurance and other specific requirements.
- One of your first duties will be to implement strong financial procedures and processes.
- You will also be accountable for the implementation of companywide finance policies.
- There is an ongoing requirement to ensure that day-to-day cost controls, budgets and general ledger tasks are completed.
- Cost management, cash flow forecasting and financial modelling will also form a part of this role.
The Requirements
- We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant (preferably a CA), who has experience of finance function.
- We are also seeking an individual who has experience and expertise in knowing what needs to be completed and when.
- The CEO has made it clear that this person will have autonomy to run with the finances of the company, however when reports are requested or scheduled, these need to be delivered.
- As such we are seeking a proactive and ambitious mindset.
