My client is seeking an experienced Non‑Bank Financial Institutions Relationship Manager to join their London‑based team. This role will focus on developing and managing relationships with Non‑Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs), driving business growth, and delivering a full range of wholesale banking products and services. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the department's business objectives and strengthening client coverage across the FI sector.

Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with Non‑Bank Financial Institutions, including brokers, asset managers, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, financial infrastructure institutions, and fintech clients.
- Identify and originate new business opportunities, expanding the client base in line with departmental strategy.
- Promote and market a full suite of banking products and services, including deposits, loans (bilateral and syndicated), financial markets products, RMB clearing, and custody‑related services.
- Work closely with Corporate Banking and Treasury teams to deliver cross‑selling opportunities.
- Support Chinese capital market‑related business, including QFI and bond‑related products.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Client Onboarding and Compliance to ensure smooth KYC, onboarding, and periodic reviews.
- Prepare credit applications for client facilities and limits, and liaise with Head Office and internal credit committees for approvals.
- Provide regular management information and reporting to support business decision‑making.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support business needs.
- Degree educated, with relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CFA) considered an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in banking, with a focus on Financial Institutions clients.
- Strong existing relationships within the NBFI sector.
- Solid understanding of wholesale banking products and services.
- Strong client‑facing skills with a commercial and results‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- A proactive and collaborative team player.
- Fluent English required.
- Experience in custody sales and knowledge of UK CASS rules would be advantageous.
