ABL Group is a leading global independent energy and marine consultant working in energy and oceans to de-risk and drive the energy transition across the renewables, maritime, and oil and gas sectors, offering the deepest pool of expertise across marine and engineering disciplines in more than 300 locations globally.

We invite applications from Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering graduates for our four‑year Engineering Development Programme, designed to build a successful career in the offshore, maritime and renewables sectors. The programme is accredited by RINA and IMarEST, with similar accreditation through ICE, and we work closely with other professional engineering institutions.

How The Programme Works

You will complete four one‑year placements across our business, gaining exposure to different industries and disciplines across the maritime, renewables and oil and gas sectors. Rotations are based at selected offices worldwide, balancing your development needs with business requirements. You need to be open to relocate to another country or region on an annual basis. Have your passport ready!

Professional Accreditation

On successful completion of the programme, you will be eligible to apply for full membership of RINA, IMarEST, ICE or another relevant institution, depending on your discipline, and for Chartered Engineer (CEng) registration with the Engineering Council (UK).

Qualifications

A Masters degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering in an institution accredited by RINA, IMarEST and/or another recognised professional institution.
