Are you experienced in Accounting and Financial Reporting within an international business? Do you speak both Mandarin and English and want to use your bilingual skills in a global environment? This could be a great opportunity for you. My client, a well-established international organisation within the energy sector, is currently looking to hire an Accounting & Financial Reporting professional to join their London-based team. This is a hands-on role covering full-cycle accounting, financial reporting and compliance. You will work closely with both local teams and overseas headquarters to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with group standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and voucher verification
- Performing GL reconciliation, AR/AP management and bank reconciliations
- Supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in line with local and group standards
- Handling fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and asset register maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and accounting standards (IFRS / CAS)
- Supporting internal and external audits, including addressing audit findings
- Utilising and improving ERP systems and reporting automation processes
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across finance and business teams
Requirement:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting / financial reporting / audit
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or Chinese GAAP (CAS)
- Experience with full set of accounts and month-end close
- Familiar with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin
