We are looking for an experienced BIM Technician to join a global design and engineering team responsible for creating the digital infrastructure behind some of the world’s most advanced operational facilities, including robotics centres, logistics hubs, and next-generation technology sites. In this role, you will use Autodesk Revit every day to design and model the telecoms and low-voltage systems that keep large-scale industrial buildings connected and running smoothly. You will work on detailed 2D and 3D models, help set design standards, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external partners across multiple countries. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical design work, problem-solving, and contributing to high-impact projects with global reach.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and updating 3D Revit models for telecoms and IT infrastructure
- Producing accurate 2D drawings and documentation
- Developing and maintaining Revit families, templates, and content libraries
- Ensuring designs meet BIM standards and integrate smoothly with other building systems
- Running clash detection and resolving modelling issues
- Supporting automation and workflow improvements (e.g., Dynamo scripts)
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Contributing to design optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Must have strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- 5+ years’ experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, R&D, or similar technical environments
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver accurate work at pace
Nice to have:
- Experience with telecoms, structured cabling, or low-voltage systems
- Understanding of system architecture, optimisation, or process design
- Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing or automated material handling environments
- Experience applying Lean principles
