Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Ownership, Specification & Market Positioning
    • Act as the central point of expertise for a designated vehicle line, overseeing its variants, lifecycle updates, and local market proposition.
    • Own and maintain all product configuration data, ensuring complete accuracy across specifications, trims, optional features, and pricing structures.
    • Align technical build information with all outward-facing materials, verifying consistency across sales tools, marketing assets, and digital platforms.
    • Monitor competitor offerings and conduct regular comparative reviews to identify gaps, positioning improvements, and opportunities for enhanced packaging.
  • Product Knowledge & Technical Interpretation
    • Build in-depth knowledge of vehicle features and user interfaces, including infotainment, connectivity, and driver assistance technologies, to support internal stakeholders.
    • Develop working knowledge of electric vehicle fundamentals such as driving range, charging performance, and compatibility standards to assist commercial teams and customer-facing functions.
    • Interpret technical documentation and updates from global teams, converting engineering-level detail into clear, commercially relevant information for local use.
  • Data Management & Cross-Functional Support
    • Take responsibility for the accurate maintenance of product data within internal systems and third-party industry platforms.
    • Support coordination between product, sales, aftersales, and wider operational teams by ensuring timely and reliable information flow.
    • Produce and manage key documentation including product summaries, comparison tools, and internal guidance materials for both corporate and retailer audiences.
  • Compliance & Pre-Delivery Validation
    • Assist in managing documentation required for regulatory approval, ensuring records are organised and up to date for market compliance.
    • Review incoming vehicle configurations against local regulations and standards, resolving discrepancies before vehicles are released to market.

Requirements

  • Industry Background: Previous experience within the automotive sector, such as with a manufacturer, distributor, fleet organisation, or dealership group, ideally in a product, planning, or vehicle operations function.
  • Technical Foundation: Formal education in engineering or a closely related discipline, with a solid understanding of core automotive principles.
  • Regulatory Awareness (Desirable): Exposure to compliance processes such as vehicle certification, emissions documentation, or interactions with regulatory authorities is advantageous but not essential.
