ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a commercially driven Inside Sales / Business Development role focused on supporting and expanding business across the China market. The position requires a proactive, performance-oriented individual who can manage client relationships, drive new business opportunities, and deliver consistent sales growth within a fast-paced, target-driven environment. You will act as a key link between international teams and Chinese clients, ensuring smooth communication, strong account management, and efficient sales execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Develop and grow new business opportunities within the China market
    • Manage inbound and outbound sales activities to drive revenue growth
    • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through CRM systems
    • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
    • Identify new industry sectors, customers, and product opportunities
  • Account Management
    • Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing clients
    • Act as the key point of contact for assigned customer accounts
    • Deliver high levels of customer service and client satisfaction
    • Identify opportunities for account expansion and upselling
  • Sales Operations & Coordination
    • Maintain accurate sales data, pipeline tracking, and customer records in CRM systems
    • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis
    • Support pricing, quotation, and order processing activities
    • Coordinate with internal teams including operations, logistics, and finance
  • Market Development & Analysis
    • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
    • Support regional sales strategy and growth initiatives
    • Participate in business development activities, including events and exhibitions when required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience working with international markets, ideally China or APAC
  • Strong commercial awareness with a performance-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese and strong English communication skills

Preferred:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Experience in B2B sales or technical/commercial industries
  • Understanding of Chinese business culture and working practices
  • Experience working in fast-paced, international environments

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver a high standard of professionalism in all client interactions
  • Work collaboratively across departments to achieve business objectives
