This is an excellent opportunity for a Mandarin Speaking Finance Professional looking to broaden their exposure across both Finance and Treasury within a dynamic commodity and energy trading environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Trading, Operations, Banks, Auditors and external advisors, supporting both day-to-day financial operations and strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance: Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare monthly management accounts, financial analysis, board reports and ad-hoc management information. Assist with the preparation of IFRS reporting packages and UK/Germany statutory accounts. Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning activities. Perform variance analysis and provide insights into business performance. Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards. Liaise with external auditors and support the annual audit process. Prepare supporting documentation for VAT returns and corporate tax filings. Work closely with external tax advisors on tax compliance and advisory matters. Support process improvement initiatives and finance transformation projects where required.
  • Treasury: Manage daily treasury activities including bank account administration, payments and reconciliations. Prepare and maintain daily cash flow reports and liquidity forecasts. Monitor cash movements, collections and supplier payments. Support foreign currency management across USD, EUR, GBP and other currencies. Coordinate with Trading and Operations teams on treasury-related activities. Assist with LC, SBLC and trade finance documentation. Support bank facility applications, loan documentation and guarantee processes. Maintain relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.

Requirement

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with 3+ years experience in Finance, Treasury or Financial Reporting.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience within energy trading, commodities, shipping, supply chain or international trading environments would be advantageous.
  • ACCA/ACA qualified or part-qualified preferred, with SAP, LC/SBLC, Big 4 or German accounting/tax experience considered a plus.
