Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Internal Audit reviews across different areas of the Bank
  • Assisting with the development and execution of the Annual Internal Audit Plan
  • Reviewing internal controls, processes and procedures to identify risks, weaknesses and control gaps
  • Assisting with financial audits and reviewing financial records to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Analysing financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies and potential issues
  • Preparing audit working papers, audit files and draft audit reports
  • Monitoring and maintaining the Internal Audit Issues Tracking Database and following up on remediation actions
  • Supporting regulatory and governance related reviews in line with UK banking regulations
  • Working closely with stakeholders across different departments within the Bank
  • Supporting ad hoc audit projects, research tasks and administrative activities where required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1–3 years’ experience within banking, financial services, audit or accounting environments
  • Understanding of audit procedures, accounting principles and financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review processes, controls and financial information in detail
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within deadlines
  • Understanding of operational risk, governance or internal controls would be advantageous
  • Product knowledge within banking or financial services would be beneficial
  • Mandarin language skills are preferred but not essential
