Do you have a background in PROCUREMENT of engineering or technical spare parts? If so, this is a really lovely role and is offered either 100% REMOTE or based in Cardiff in WALES. You will be joining a multilingual team and will be sourcing automation spare parts globally for a variety of industries. The business employs about 100 staff in total.
In this role you will take orders from clients and then source products globally for dispatch. The role is a mix of senior level technical customer care and purchasing in which you will be taking inbound enquiries from clients who will ask you to source equipment. Your role is to source the spare part and then liaise with the client, add a "finders fee" and then communicate with the warehouse who will dispatch it. Nice and straightforward.
LOCATION: Cardiff in Wales or 100% remote
LANGUAGES: Fluent English. Other languages such as Spanish, Italian, or German are all useful (not essential)

COMPANY: The company is a specialist spare-parts business and acts as a purchasing "hub" for clients across the world who are looking for specific components such as drives/sensors/PLCs/HMIs and other equipment. The spare parts are sourced globally and the spare parts are for a variety of industries. The business employs about 100 staff globally and this office is located in Wales.
ROLE: a mix of Procurement (Sourcing) & Sales. Full technical training will be provided.
- Procurement Duties:
- Source and purchase automation spare parts, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and industrial controls.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to secure competitive pricing and lead times.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Communicate with clients & understand their spare parts needs.
- Create quotations. Process sales orders and ensure smooth order fulfilment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Some experience of procurement.
- Good knowledge of automation components and brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, ABB, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, etc.
- Ability to speak French, Spanish, Italian, or German is preferable.
