In this role you will be on the phone speaking to people, using your German to find out about what a job seeker wants in their future role and gaining an understanding of where they see life 5 years from where they are now. This unusual position is a classic relationship management role in which your aim is to get to know jobseekers, actively listen and then support them in achieving their career goals. There is no selling in this position at all, it’s a role about care, nurturing and having outstanding listening skills. It does require fluent German and a sound intellect.
Salary: Up to £35,000 + 10% bonus OTE
Realistic OTE in Year one: up to £45,000

Duties:
- Researching/locating/approaching: This is a sophisticated listening and sales support role. You will research and locate highly skilled potential applicants and approach them directly to find out whether they are open to working in new international-based roles. The focus is to establish rapport with a view to long‑term relationships.
- Supporting: You will support a Relationship Sales Manager who is responsible for sales.
- Aim of the job: Forge solid, sustainable caring relationships with very senior level people in the telecommunications sector. Help drive the careers of German‑speaking candidates forward and support revenue generation across the business. Full training will be provided.
This role suits someone with a previous hospitality or customer‑care background who wants to move sectors while using excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Activities:
- Using LinkedIn and other social media to establish excellent personal relationships and rapport with senior executives who may be looking to move jobs and are open to learning about other international job opportunities.
- Providing applicants with outstanding career advice, discussing their aspirations and showing them new opportunities currently available globally.
- Staying in contact with candidates and always helping them advance their careers.
- Attending international roadshows (when appropriate) and trade events to meet potential job applicants face to face.
- Interviewing candidates (face to face, via Skype or over the telephone) to learn about aspirations and personal circumstances.
- Liaising with the Relationship Manager and keeping him or her informed of candidate’s salaries, availability, specific requirements and pay rates.
- Reviewing, amending, and updating candidates’ CV so that it matches client requirements more closely.
- Developing your contacts portfolio and uploading the database.
- Getting candidate feedback following interviews.
- Writing effective advertising copy in German or English that could be used on job boards and the corporate LinkedIn Page.
Requirements:
- Fluent German and ideally another central European language.
- Previous hospitality or customer‑care experience.
- Comfortable on the phone, calling candidates you do not know.
