My client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Institution Business Analyst with Mandarin speaking skills to join their Financial Institutions team in London. To be successful in this role, you will provide comprehensive business, analytical and administrative support to the department, contributing to business planning, performance monitoring, risk management, and cross-functional coordination. This role offers strong exposure to wholesale banking and Financial Institutions business within an international banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the formulation and implementation of departmental business plans, including KPI setting, performance tracking, and business development initiatives.
- Assist with budgeting, management information reporting, and Head Office/regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate closely with Corporate Banking and Treasury on relevant business activities and joint initiatives.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, FinTech, and Audit to ensure smooth execution of FI-related activities.
- Monitor FI credit portfolio and identify potential risks arising from market or counterparty developments.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal control frameworks and risk management processes.
- Organise departmental meetings, seminars, and client events, ensuring effective end-to-end coordination.
- Monitor departmental expenditure, including vendor payments and event-related costs.
- Conduct market research and analysis on macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments, and industry insights, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and Head Office.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above from a reputable university.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Sound understanding of wholesale banking products and FI business.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin is advantageous but not mandatory.
