This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Financial Institutions team in a broad, business-facing role.

Working closely with senior management , you will support business planning, strategic initiatives, performance reporting and cross-functional coordination across multiple business areas.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to Financial Institutions, Corporate Banking and Treasury while working with a wide range of internal stakeholders including Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Internal Audit and Technology.

My client, a well-established international bank in the City of London, is looking to hire an experienced FI Business Analyst to support the Financial Institutions team.

Salary: up to£50,000 Languages : Fluent Mandarin and English Key Responsibilities Support the Deputy Head of Financial Institutions with business planning, budgeting, KPI tracking and departmental strategy.

Assist in preparing management information (MI), business reports and presentations for senior management, Head Office and regulators.

Coordinate business activities across Corporate Banking, Treasury and the Financial Institutions teams, ensuring actions and projects are delivered on time.

Work closely with internal stakeholders including Finance, Operations, Client Onboarding, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Internal Audit and Fin Tech to support day-to-day business management.

Monitor the Financial Institutions portfolio, identifying changes in counterparty credit quality and preparing reports to support business decisions.

Support the implementation and maintenance of internal control frameworks, policies and operational procedures in line with regulatory requirements.

Assist with business governance activities including audit follow-up, risk management actions, KYC/AML coordination and new product approval processes.

Prepare market research, industry analysis and macroeconomic reports covering the UK financial market, providing insights to senior management, Head Office and regulators.

Coordinate departmental events including seminars, networking events, client meetings and roadshows, managing logistics, budgets and external suppliers.

Monitor departmental operating budgets, invoices, membership subscriptions and event expenditure to ensure effective cost management.

Participate in business improvement initiatives and support ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements Degree educated.

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience within banking or financial services.

Previous experience supporting Financial Institutions, Corporate Banking, Treasury or a Business Management / Business Analyst function would be highly desirable.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and produce high-quality management reports.

Good understanding of wholesale banking products and Financial Institutions business.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across different business functions.

High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Power Point.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fluent English is essential.

Mandarin language skills would be advantageous but are not essential .
