We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented bilingual Account Assistant to support the financial operations of an established property investment and management company. This role is ideal for a Mandarin and English speaker who enjoys working independently, has a strong sense of accuracy and compliance, and is confident handling property-related financial matters. You will work closely with a professional and experienced team, providing reliable financial support to landlords and tenants in both languages.
The position offers excellent flexibility, remote working opportunities, and a high level of autonomy—perfect for candidates seeking a stable, professional part-time role.
Location: London (Remote & Work-from-Home options available)
Hours: Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week
Salary: £15 per hour
Languages: Fluent Mandarin & English (MUST)
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately reconcile service charges, utility bills, and other property-related expenses; collect, process, and maintain compliance documentation and authorisations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to financial enquiries from landlords and tenants, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Translate, draft, and explain financial compliance materials, legal notices, and procedures related to the UK rental and property management environment.
Systems & Process Management
- Use financial and property management systems efficiently to track bills, payments, and reports, ensuring deadlines are met and records are up to date.
- Proactively monitor and follow up on service charges, ground rent, and rent arrears, supporting timely resolution for all parties.
Skills & Experience Required
- Financial & Technical Skills: Experience using accounting or financial tools, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills for professional email communication; fluent Mandarin for client support and documentation.
- Property / Regulatory Knowledge (Highly Desirable): Familiarity with UK rental regulations such as the Tenant Fees Act is a strong advantage.
- Compliance-Focused Approach: A strong understanding of compliance requirements and the flexibility to support additional tasks when needed.
- Proactive Working Style: Confident in following up on payments, bills, and outstanding items, with excellent organisational skills.
