You will be a Lead with a focus on supporting families for Nottinghamshire's Integrated Wellbeing Service, Your Health Your Way. You will play an integral part in the development and sustainability of the FAB (Food Activity Balance) club intervention.
Main duties of the job:
- As a Family Weight Management Lead, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Family Weight Management service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions that improve health outcomes for children and families.
- You will oversee the NCMP pathway, work closely with multidisciplinary teams including GPs, dietitians, paediatric consultants and social services, and build strong partnerships with commissioners, stakeholders and community organisations to maximise engagement and service impact.
- The role involves coordinating programme delivery, developing educational resources and marketing materials, supporting group and one-to-one interventions, and promoting healthy eating, physical activity and behaviour change.
- You will monitor service performance against KPIs, maintain robust referral pathways, analyse and report data, and contribute to quality assurance, clinical governance and continuous service improvement.
- In addition, you will support business development activities, deliver presentations and training to colleagues and partners, contribute to the development of new initiatives, and ensure compliance with organisational policies, safeguarding requirements and professional standards.

Job responsibilities:
- This role would suit a person with experience in paediatric weight management or similar, who is keen to consolidate their existing knowledge and expand their skills working with children and families with a range of health issues and comorbidities.
- You will be responsible for working alongside the delivery teams to ensure we reach performance targets around family weight management and providing quality assurance around delivery of the interventions.
- You will play an important role in developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders to ensure quality referrals into the FAB service in accordance with the KPI targets.
- You will also liaise with the Community Engagement Team where appropriate to ensure effective engagement from parents and families.
- Training will be given to ensure staff/applicants are equipped to deliver effective services.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead the NCMP pathway, liaising with public health colleagues and monitoring uptake.
- Attend mandatory company-wide Family Weight Management and steering group meetings.
- Coordinate with MDT members (GPs, dietitians, paediatric consultants, social services) and support HLA attendance at MDT and LAC meetings.
- Oversee programme development: update curriculum, develop resources, create marketing materials, and provide evidence-based dietary guidance.
- Contribute to FAB Club delivery and establish family groups where demand exists.
- Support integration across IWS pathways (e.g., smoking cessation, weight management) and database development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, commissioners, and residents to drive continuous service improvement and innovation.
- Support business development, including contract bids, case studies, and success stories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and children's centres across Nottinghamshire.
- Align delivery timetables with District Leads to meet KPIs and ensure up-to-date signposting services.
- Ensure quality assurance through staff observations, audits, and clinical governance oversight.
- Collect, analyse, and report project data to the Head of IWS; contribute to CPD and maintain a professional portfolio.
- Work with specialist leads (physical activity, nutrition, smoking, alcohol) to maintain quality and governance standards.
- Support T2/T3 FWM cases and liaise with commissioners on client progress.
- Develop and maintain referral pathways, monitoring and improving performance with key partners.
- Deliver age-appropriate one-to-one and group advice on healthy eating, behaviour change, and physical activity.
- Deliver presentations to stakeholders and support the training of new staff and volunteers.
- Complete all mandatory and additional training, and follow ABL Health policies and procedures.
- Prioritise and manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.

Skills and Competencies Required:

Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable relevant equivalent experience in public health or related field.
- AFN accreditation or equivalent.
