About the Role

As part of the Abion team, you'll collaborate with our international network of IP, Domains and Brand Protection professionals, working on a diverse portfolio of cases and clients. As Senior Intelligence Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering Abion's Intelligence practice within the Brand Protection division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting information from online, open-source, and human sources, delivering findings through formal, comprehensive intelligence reports.
  • Leading IP-related intelligence assignments, supporting the clearance and protection of intellectual property, including Common Law Searches, Trade mark use investigations, infringement and supply chain investigations.
  • Handling and coordinating enquiry agents, globally.
  • Undertaking non–IP research and investigation tasks as required, including people and asset tracing, pre-merger due diligence, and other bespoke research tasks.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, agents, and authorities worldwide.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell relevant services across the business.
  • Staying up to date with industry developments, particularly advancements in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies, and implementing innovative tools to enhance intelligence gathering and service delivery.
  • Providing administrative support as required, including in billing processes, and accurate record maintenance.
  • Contributing to the continued development of intelligence best practices, methodologies, and internal processes.

What We're Looking For

In order to succeed in this role, we believe that you are educated to degree level with proven experience in trade mark investigations and OSINT (Open Source Intelligence). You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, sound professional judgement, ability to adhere to guidelines and deadlines, and you produce work with minimal errors.

You have strong respect for and understanding of intellectual property rights, and a firm stance against counterfeiting, fraud, and related abuses with a motivation to develop skills in fraud prevention, detection, and investigation. High integrity comes naturally to you and you have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

You will be required to work both independently, and collaboratively within a team and should possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with an interest in continue building technology-driven solutions and AI. Since we are working in a truly international environment you have a high level of written and verbal English with proven ability to produce clear, formal written reports.
