As part of the Abion team, you’ll collaborate with our international network of IP professionals, working on a diverse portfolio of cases and clients. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards and delivering exceptional legal services.
About the Role
As a Senior Associate, your primary responsibility will be to manage and assist in a variety of legal, trademark, and IP matters within your practice area. Senior Associates play a crucial role in providing legal advice, conducting research, drafting documents, and interacting with clients to contribute to the firm's success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the full process, from acquiring new clients to managing billing and time tracking.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by networking, prospecting, and engaging with potential clients.
- Drive revenue growth by bringing in own clients and effectively cross-selling and upselling products/services to existing clients.
- Take a proactive role in managing cases, transactions, or matters, ensuring their efficient progression.
- Build and maintain client relationships by understanding client needs, providing regular case updates, addressing concerns, and offering strategic legal advice.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, motions, briefs, agreements, applications, and transactional documents.
- Record billable hours accurately and assist in preparing client invoices, if required.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, we believe that you are a team player with strong collaboration and leadership skills. You can easily connect with new people and have the ability to communicate with different stakeholders. You are a problem-solver with high integrity, managing sensitive information with confidentiality. We also expect that you have:
- Bar admission and at least 5 years of experience.
- Track record of trademark law and IP law.
- Proactive approach in participating in training, professional development opportunities, and ongoing learning initiatives.
- Focus on finding efficiencies and better solutions through technology.
