Location: Park Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 1DE

Salary: £30,393 to £33,504 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:30 to 17:00, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch)

About Us:

The Foundation comprises two schools: Abingdon School and Abingdon Prep School, as well as Abingdon School Enterprises. Abingdon School is a leading independent day and boarding school with more than 1,000 pupils aged 11-18. Currently a boys’ school, it will become co-educational from September 2026. Abingdon Prep School is a vibrant and warm day preparatory school with around 200 pupils aged 4-13 which has been co-educational since last year. Both Schools are situated in beautiful and extensive grounds, with the senior school in the heart of Abingdon on Thames, just south of Oxford, and the Prep School located a few miles away in nearby Frilford.

Content Creator - The Role:

This is a hands-on creative role working closely with the marketing team across the Group. You will capture and edit high-quality photography and video footage, design marketing collateral, and produce visually strong, engaging content for different audiences. You will balance immediacy with quality, sometimes posting live during events while also creating considered campaign content. The role requires flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends to cover priority events and activities, with off-site work at various Group locations and external venues.

Content Creator - Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality photography and video of day-to-day activities, planned campaigns and spontaneous community moments across all Group settings
  • Produce platform-ready content including reels, stories, short-form videos, hero images and campaign assets, adapting formats for different channels
  • Collaborate with Marketing Managers to plan storytelling aligned with key content pillars and brand values
  • Post live to social media during priority events and write short-form copy including captions, calls to action and hashtags
  • Organise and archive assets using agreed naming conventions, enabling fast retrieval and re-use
  • Support live or near-live event coverage including basic live streaming where required
  • Maintain kit readiness, production standards and compliance with consent, safeguarding and data protection procedures

Content Creator - You:

  • Strong photography and video editing skills with experience using professional software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar
  • A creative eye for visual storytelling, composition and current digital and social media trends
  • Confident using both smartphone and camera kit with basic lighting and audio awareness
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to produce consistently high-quality content to tight deadlines
  • Experience writing short social media copy and longer-form website content for different audiences and contexts
  • Professional, approachable, reliable and adaptable with strong judgement about tone, audience and safeguarding in a school environment
