A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our HR team at our manufacturing Site at Dewsbury. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the HR department, in a generalist role covering all aspects of HR.
The role will be based on Days; Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 4.45 pm, Friday 9.00am – 3.45pm, with 1 hour lunch break. Salary £33,000 – £34,000 dependent on experience.
Your Duties will include:
Day to Day Operations of HR department / Payroll
· Monitor and issue absence / lateness disciplinary warnings triggered to appropriate department supervisors/managers in line with company procedures
· Process documentation including disciplines, grievances, appeals, holidays, policies, procedures, redundancies and TUPE
· Organising / arranging Internal and External recruitment and interviews, including the administration of contracts, transfers, probations and reviews.
· Participate in interviews
Running weekly payroll;
· Input all data including, new starts, leavers, update time and attendance data and clear off any exceptions daily;
· Calculate and input SSP, SMP and SPP, ensuring payments are in line with statutory legislation;
· Calculate any relevant information regarding employees pay e.g. back pay and adjustments;
· Prepare P45\’s
· Maintain working schedules and clocking patterns;
· Ensure all work is secure and confidential only releasing information to authorised personnel;
· To have involvement within auto enrolment and give advice to employees, process through payroll
General Duties
· Open, sort and distribute mail, Maintain accurate and up to date filing systems.
· Respond to employee queries ensuring that all queries are satisfactorily resolved. Highlight any major or unresolved issues to the HR manager.
· Sitting in on meetings, taking and distributing minutes
· Assisting management team and supervisors with fair process at disciplinary meetings and advising on Company policies and procedures.
· Assist management team with other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
Essential
GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English, Preferred Further/ Higher level education
CIPD level 5 qualification or working towards.
Preferrable
Computer literate including Microsoft office software packages and HR & Wages system experience preferred.
Experience of processing payroll for a manufacturing company
Experience of processing payroll for 100+ employees
Experience of Real -Time Information (RTI)
Experience of using time and attendance.
Person Specification
A professional and approachable person to join a small team who has excellent organisational and communication skills. Previous experience in Human Resources and running payroll is essential.
