We are looking for an experienced and driven HR Business Partner to join our fast-paced HR department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive HR team and make a meaningful impact within an established organisation.
The role involves reporting into the Head of HR, where you will play a key role in delivering both strategic and operational HR support, working closely with managers across the organisation. You will be office based 5 days a week, in our Crumlin Site with supporting visits to our manufacturing Site in Yorkshire.
Main areas of responsibility include:
- Discussing and inputting into business strategies with senior management from an HR perspective.
- Supporting and communicating change initiatives.
- Working with department heads to identify skill gaps and resources required to achieve business objectives.
- Developing and implementing plans for recruitment, training, restructuring and succession.
- Coaching Managers and Supervisors on ways to motivate and develop their employees and to lead more effectively.
- Driving employee engagement, wellness and employee relations initiatives.
- Analysing human resource metrics and comparing results to key performance indicators.
Day to day duties include:
- Employee onboarding, ID/Right to Work verifications, and assistance throughout the whole employee life cycle.
- Internal and external recruitment.
- Managing all disciplinary and grievance hearings.
- Providing HR assistance, acting as the first point of contact for HR questions, and keeping the HR inbox up to date.
- Developing HR policies and processes.
The ideal candidate should have extensive HR generalist experience obtained within a manufacturing environment, dealing with all aspects of HR and be used to multitasking and prioritising your workload. You should be able to influence at all levels of the organisation, be confident, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A thorough understanding of employment law is essential, along with resilience through peaks of pressure and the ability to thrive on working to tight deadlines.
Qualifications include:
- CIPD level 5 qualification or above.
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of working in a unionised environment.
- Previous payroll experience.
Salary and benefits:
- Extremely competitive salary.
- Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Fridays 8.30am – 3.30pm.
- Full-time office based, 36.5 hours per week with ½ hour unpaid lunch break.
