Salary: £27,166 – £27,820 per annum

Hours per week: 37 hours per week

Working pattern: The working pattern is Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day

Weeks per annum: 52 weeks per annum

Location: Bicester Construction Campus

We\’re thrilled to invite applications for an enthusiastic and well‐organised Construction Instructor/Technician to join our dynamic team at the Bicester Construction Centre. As our department continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate individual eager to work in education and support students in developing their practical construction skills.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a construction trade or a solid understanding of the practical skills involved. You will be expected to support a range of trade areas, including plumbing, electrical installation, and wood trades. Don\’t worry if you\’re not an expert in all areas – we provide training and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

Assisting teachers in workshops to develop students\’ practical skills

Supervising students during practical sessions

Ordering materials and managing stock levels

Maintaining high standards of workshop organisation and cleanliness

Working collaboratively within a supportive team environment

Essential Experience

Experience or knowledge in construction trades

Enthusiasm for working in education and supporting learners of all ages

Strong communication skills

Confidence in engaging with students and colleagues

A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
