About The Role
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic People Operations Assistant to join our People & Culture team at Abingdon and Witney College. This is an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of HR functions while playing an active role in our talent development initiatives. As part of our commitment to building a thriving and skilled workforce, you will contribute to the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to learning and development coordination. You will be integral to ensuring smooth HR processes and supporting the professional growth of staff across the college.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative support across all People Operations functions, including onboarding, Single Central Records, absence management, and contract changes.
- Prepare employment documentation including offer letters, contracts, and contractual change letters.
- Maintain and update HR systems with accuracy, ensuring compliance with data protection and safeguarding policies.
- Assist in the coordination of learning and development activities, including booking training sessions, maintaining training records, and monitoring compliance with mandatory learning.
- Support the delivery of talent development programmes, such as induction plans, CPD events, and career development workshops.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team to gather feedback and help evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives.
- Assist with reporting on workforce data, including training uptake, probation reviews, and appraisal outcomes.
