Abingdon & Witney College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Health & Social Care Lecturer (Adult Nursing specialism) to join our growing T Level Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of health professionals, delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of levels, with a primary focus on T Level Health programmes.
This role can be based at either our Abingdon or Witney campus, Part time or Full time, offering flexibility and the chance to work within a dynamic and supportive curriculum area. We are particularly looking for candidates with expertise in the Occupational Specialism in Adult Nursing, who are passionate about learner success and committed to excellence in teaching.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching, primarily for T Level Health learners, alongside other Health & Social Care courses.
- Develop engaging and effective learning materials using both digital and paper-based resources.
- Maintain accurate learner records and respond proactively to individual support needs.
- Use college systems effectively to support delivery, tracking and quality assurance processes.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Plan and deliver assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support exam processes.
- Deliver tutorials and support learners in achieving their Individual Learning Plans.
- Refer and signpost learners to enrichment opportunities that enhance their progress and employability.
- Reflect on teaching practice, participate in CPD, and contribute to course review and self-assessment activities.
Qualifications
- Passion for Health and Social Care education.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience teaching within a post-16 or Further Education setting.
