We are recruiting for an inspirational Curriculum Manager to lead our Family Learning, Health and Wellbeing curriculum areas within the Oxfordshire Adult Learning (OAL) faculty. OAL is a large, award winning faculty of Abingdon and Witney College. OAL offers a wide range of adult learning courses including qualification based courses, leisure learning courses and works extensively with community partners across Oxfordshire.

This pivotal role supports the College's commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive education that responds to the needs of our learners, local communities and employers. As Curriculum Manager, you will oversee curriculum planning, quality assurance and programme development, while also contributing to teaching and managing student support processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Head of Faculty and the Quality Lead to ensure that the curriculum, the promotion of inclusive learning and student achievement are all of high quality.
  • Support the planning and delivery of curriculum developments within the OAL faculty.
  • Devise and carry through plans for course provision, student numbers, curriculum and staff.
  • Develop new courses and accreditation aligned with community, industry and employer needs.
  • Oversee curriculum delivery across College sites, including flexible learning provision.
  • Set objectives and support staff across the faculty, including hourly paid lecturers.
  • Uphold and promote the College's commitment to Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding.
  • Teach on programmes within or outside the faculty.
  • Lead curriculum evaluation, assessment, record‐keeping and student liaison.
  • Contribute to staff recruitment and observation of teaching and learning.
  • Line manage staff and promote positive wellbeing within the team.

Full teaching qualification. Strong commitment to student success, progression and high‐quality teaching. Up to date understanding of sector developments and ability to lead change. Ability to work collaboratively to meet faculty and College objectives.
