The role involves being part of an existing digital inclusion project in the Telford, Shropshire area. Funded by Capgemini and in association with AbilityNet, the project is designed to empower anyone over the age of 18 who faces digital exclusion including disabled, unemployed, and older people who face digital exclusion. The Digital Skills Trainer is responsible for delivering training to digitally excluded people.
About you: Ideal candidates will have experience delivering both 1:1 and group training sessions, along with the confidence to build strong relationships with individuals and organisations to promote our free services. Above all, you will be passionate about making a difference by helping others develop essential digital skills.
What we're looking for: Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience of training delivery (or presentation skills)
- Strong digital literacy skills and IT knowledge
- Excellent personal communication skills
- Good organisation and administration skills
- Experienced user of Office 365
- Be prepared to travel daily to training locations within the region
