Ashiyana House is a new 2‑bed therapeutic children’s home in Redditch, Worcestershire. We are looking for a full‑time Team Leader to join our dedicated team caring for children aged 8‑18 with learning disabilities, autism and behavioural needs.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Registered and Deputy Manager to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the home.
- Support and supervise the staff team.
- Provide therapeutic activities within the home and local community, ensuring all aspects of the children’s health and well‑being needs are met.
- Carry out personal care in accordance with care plans and risk assessments.
- Adhere to the child‑home regulatory framework and the Care Standards Act 2000.
- Work at least one sleep‑in shift per week (20:00‑08:00).
Qualifications:
- MUST demonstrate good knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, The Children’s Act 1989 and the Care Standards Act 2000.
Therapeutic Approach:
Strong emphasis on creating an environment that promotes positive change in emotional regulation and behaviour while building secure attachment and healthy relationships. Approaches used: Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) and Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI).
Start Date: Role expected to begin March/April 2026.
