Role Summary:
As a Warehouse Operative at Abiglobal Foods Wholesale Ltd, you will support day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching food products. This role is hands-on and requires good physical fitness, attention to detail, and a team-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack food products for wholesale delivery
- Receive and inspect incoming stock deliveries
- Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently and safely
- Follow stock rotation procedures, particularly for perishable and dated goods
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all warehouse areas, in line with food safety standards
- Keep warehouse organised and products correctly stored
- Report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the supervisor
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled correctly and within required timeframes
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Assist with regular stock counts and inventory checks
- Support other warehouse duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment (preferably in food distribution)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting
- Familiarity with food safety and handling standards is an advantage
- Basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends when required
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Sunday, Between 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
