About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Interim IT Support Specialist to support day‑to‑day IT operations while contributing to key IT and cyber security initiatives across the business. Working closely with the IT team, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting core infrastructure and end‑user services, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and performant. You will provide 2nd and 3rd line support across the organisation, while also contributing to project delivery and ongoing security improvements. The role will involve administering Microsoft 365 services, supporting on‑premise Active Directory, and working across a hybrid environment. You will respond to cyber security alerts and incidents, support vulnerability remediation activities, and assist with the implementation of security controls to strengthen the organisation’s overall security posture. In addition, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers, supporting users across both office and shop‑floor environments within a manufacturing setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining operational IT support, project delivery and cyber security in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.
About You
You will have a strong background in 2nd and 3rd line IT support, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues across infrastructure and end‑user environments. A confident and approachable communicator, you will be comfortable supporting users at all levels of the organisation and working closely with both internal teams and external partners. You will bring a proactive and security‑focused mindset, with experience responding to incidents and addressing vulnerabilities in a practical, operational setting. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail will enable you to manage competing priorities effectively, while your collaborative and adaptable approach will help you succeed in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and hybrid environments is essential, and exposure to security tooling and project delivery would be highly advantageous.
