ABF is a multinational business with over 125,000 employees worldwide. The ABF Grocery division contains a number of household name brands including Kingsmill, Patak’s, Blue Dragon, Raja Spices, Jordans and Dorset cereals, Ryvita and Silver Spoon. Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division.
We are currently seeking a Developer on a fixed term basis for 12 months, to join our IS Team. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that support our application landscape. Your expertise in coding, problem‑solving, and collaboration will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality software that meets the needs of our organisation.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement software solutions that align with business requirements and project objectives, you will:
- Develop and maintain code using a variety of programming languages, APIs, and tools.
- Write clean, well‑documented, and efficient code that adheres to best practices in software development.
- Contribute to the technical design and architecture of software applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Develop new features, modules, or components for existing software applications.
- Identify and resolve software defects, issues, and errors, employing systematic debugging techniques.
Right Person For this role we require at least 3 years of experience as a Developer or in a related role within IT with strong understanding of software development principles. You must have experience developing on‑premise web applications using Power Platform, Azure Cloud Services and Dynamics 365 within a cloud hybrid environment with a proficiency in C#, X++, T‑SQL, using Management Studio and Visual Studio, and working SQL Server databases.
