Timetable Officer Part-time, 17.5 hours per week Grade 6 (£32,079.92 - £37,694.44) Abertay is a modern university with a global outlook, rooted in its local and national communities.

Academic Services is within the Directorate of Student and Academic Services and is responsible for a range of activities relating to academic administration and governance.
The team manages a range of student processes, including registration, timetabling, assessment, academic appeals, academic progression and awards.
Academic Services supports Academic Quality and Standards Committee, the Academic Leadership Group as well as Faculty Academic Committees and Assessment Boards and handles student discipline and complaints for the University.
The University now seeks to appoint a Timetable Officer on a 0.5 FTE Part time basis.
This is a permanent position.
Reporting to the Student Administration Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational management, co-ordination and enhancement of institutional timetabling for teaching and exams.
You will ensure that the University’s timetable principles are adhered to in order to achieve a student-centred timetable and efficient use of space.
You will work closely with the full-time Timetable Officer and other staff responsible for maintaining the accuracy of student records.
You will ensure accurate timetabling information is available to staff and students, and produce reports for management.
Additionally, the post holder will support other staff within Academic Services to enable both knowledge and relationships to be developed; will be expected to work closely with other Officers to ensure consistency; develop knowledge and expertise in assessment processes; and to support the work of Academic Services across all administrative areas as required.
The post holder will work closely with other teams within the Directorate and wider University to ensure that a high-quality student experience is provided.
The role requires excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, plus good speaking and listening skills.
An ability to interpret data correctly is essential.
You will be communicating with students and staff in a variety of roles across the University so excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills are vital.
