The Strategy, Governance, and External Relations (SGER) service leads the University in both its outward facing activities and our internal corporate relationships and communications. The team covers a range of activities, including Communications, Events and Engagement, Governance, Marketing, Web and Design, Strategic Planning, UK Recruitment and Admissions and Administrative Services.
SGER is seeking to appoint a Student Recruitment and Admissions Assistant to support workloads across both Admissions and UK Student Recruitment teams. This newly created role seeks to expand and intensify our recruitment and conversion activities across the UK, in addition to supporting peak Admissions periods.
You will provide a friendly and efficient support service across Admissions and UK Recruitment to ensure that the service is high functioning and perceived as a welcoming, professional environment. You will support UK Student Recruitment and Admissions colleagues and will be responsible for dealing with all prospective student enquiries, undertaking customer engagement activity to build relationships, live chat, email marketing, and updating web content.
You will also have administrative responsibility for our enquiry and schools databases and student recruitment event support. The role requires a level of flexibility to meet periods of peak demands in student recruitment and admissions (November-January and July-September). The role also involves regular travel across Scotland and the rest of the UK, including overnight stays, evenings, and weekends. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, along with confidence driving to remote locations.
