IT Services is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Cybersecurity Officer to join our Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Team.

This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands on experience in a real-world enterprise environment while following a structured pathway towards becoming a Cybersecurity Analyst.

This position has been specifically designed as a graduate development opportunity.

Over your first 12 months you will: Receive mentoring from experienced cybersecurity professionals.

Gain practical experience across security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, security awareness and risk management.

Participate in security investigations, projects and operational activities.

Develop and demonstrate professional competencies through agreed development objectives.

Progress to a Grade 6 Cybersecurity Analyst role upon successful completion of your development programme.

This role is ideal for: Recent graduates seeking their first professional cybersecurity role.

Students completing a degree in Cyber Security, Information Security or a related discipline.

Candidates who are curious, analytical and eager to build a career in cybersecurity.

As part of our Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Team, you will: Monitor and investigate security alerts and incidents.

Assist with vulnerability management and security monitoring activities.

Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives for staff and students.

Contribute to incident response planning and security exercises.

Work alongside experienced colleagues to help protect the University's systems, data and services.

Build practical experience using enterprise security tools and technologies.

We're looking for potential rather than extensive professional experience.

You should be able to demonstrate: A good understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.

Knowledge of Windows, Linux and networking fundamentals.
