An exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Manager with Duty Manager role, at a new restaurant with 5 rooms in the centre of a thriving town, Fishguard. The Abergwaun Bistro and Rooms is the sister property to award winning, eco sustainable Red Onion Garden Cafe. With strong customer relationships and a renowned friendly atmosphere, we are looking for an experienced hospitality professional who can deliver on the upkeep of our ecofriendly/sustainable credentials. Business opening in May 2026, 4 nights a week with an additional 1 brunch service (Thursday - Sunday). This may increase as business develops.

Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise all restaurant staff fostering a positive team environment.
- Ensure smooth daily operations including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, cash handling and maintaining the highest guest service standards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, feedback, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards at all times.
- Work with the whole management team to organise events and sales initiatives.
- Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations during shift and shared on call shifts with calm, confident leadership.
- Promptly manage bookings for restaurant and rooms according to their needs, checking customers into our rooms, and organising information for housekeeping.
- Experience in high end hospitality setting at supervisor/manager role.
- Experience with world wines, spirits & cocktails.
- Passionate about offering a relaxed and sincere customer experience.
- Excellent restaurant service skills in fine dining and relaxed dining environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Proactive, hands-on leadership style with an eye for detail and quality.
- Enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH practices.
- UK work eligibility (unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role).
