Aberdein Considine is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will handle legal aspects of sale and purchase transactions, remortgages, and transfers of title. They will also support partners and team members by providing expert legal advice and assistance within the department.

Department Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with the sale and purchase of residential properties.
  • Provide services related to private client matters such as wills, powers of attorney, discharges of security, transfers of title, and equity releases.
  • Cross-sell other firm services like Financial Services.

Job Purpose

  • Manage conveyancing processes in property transactions.
  • Examine titles of properties involved in transactions.
  • Advise clients on legal implications of issues arising during transactions.
  • Handle mortgage instructions from lenders and perform necessary tasks.
  • Meet with clients to explain legal documents.
  • Guide clients through the legal process of transactions.
  • Take instructions from clients and execute contracts accordingly.
  • Ensure timely settlement of transactions.
